boat bait
My works with driftwood, flotsam, shells, scrap material, and now and then a painted background, are fantasy images showing the sublime - grandiose, vast and threatening atmosphere of the sea.
The details are colorful. The composition of the 'shadow boxes' can deviate from a logical arrangement, surprising structures are also used, such as inversion of things, twisting of perspective, or dimensions out of proportion. The contrast between the sometimes rough structure of the background and detailed models of beacons, a dolphin, or harbor light can give an alienated image.
